Resident Director of College Housing: Description and Responsibilities
The RD of College Housing is responsible to oversee the following processes:
- Reside in one of the College houses
- Act as RD for all College houses, supervising RA's at each and serving as contact between the needs of RA's and the Dean of College Student Life
- Provide appropriate oversight to college residence hall. Resident Director agrees to conduct his/herself in a professional and Christian manner consistent with being a role model for this College’s students
- Report any concerns related to the physical, psychological, or spiritual welfare of residence hall residents to The Dean of College Student Life.
- Facilitate good community relations among residence hall residents.
- Organize Community Dinner program (House by House, Whole by Whole)
- Work with Dean of College Student Life to organize house events (i.e., parties, service projects, participation in TSCS community)
- Monitor physical condition of college residence hall and promptly follow Repair Protocol by the Director of Facilities for any maintenance needs.
- Maintain appropriate relationship and communication with house owner on behalf of the College, according to the Repair Protocol.
- In the event of emergency, Resident Director serves as emergency response lead and manager until relief arrives.
- Complete relevant training as assigned by the College, including but not limited to VIRTUS training.
Qualifications: Candidate preferably should be currently employed at The Saint Constantine School and abide by TSCS Employee Handbook; team player; willing to "roll up one's sleeves" and do what is needed.
Reports to: Dean of College Student Life
Compensation and Benefits:
- Stipend
- Free rent in College house
